The most shooting fun you can have without a headband and mullet

Time Crisis 2nd Strike HD
Platforms: iPad

What’s it about?

On the go, on the rails shooting. Time Crisis has always been a franchise to be reckoned with, becoming one of the biggest names in the genre for good reason. 2nd Strike brings several game modes to the iPad beyond the ten normal missions (the first one is free, the other nine require in-app purchases). Once a level is complete it becomes available in Time Attack and Score Attack modes where you’ll have to score as much and finish as fast as possible. We know you’re well-practiced in both of those.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (Xbox, PS3, PC)

What’s it about?
The third game in the Modern Warfare series brings the close of a three game campaign plot arc, a bevy of new mutliplayer options and the return of beloved favorites. It’s not often that you’ll see fanaticism reach a fever pitch the way it does when a new CoD drops and MW3 is certainly no exception as the game has been on the road to record-breaking sales since its midnight launch earlier this week. The latest iteration of the MW’s also brings with it the most robust online statistic database with deep integration of the Elite online platform where you’ll be able to analyze your performance or perish in-game at the hands of people who do

Call us Big Boy ‘cause we’re dropping bombs like it’s ‘45.

In the background: Switzerland, being a bunch of neutral dickholes, as usual.

Armored Strike Online
Platforms: Android

What’s it about?
Mortars and shells and missiles. Armored Strike lets you choose your combat vehicle, outfit it with weapons from a well-stocked arsenal and then take on the computer or friends in turn-based combat on a variety of battlefield choices. Core gameplay requires some budgeting, as more powerful weapons require a bigger purse, so you’ll have to make sure your aim is true before wasting your heavy artillery on the high, long shots that don’t nail their targets.

With Captian America: the First Avenger out on July 22, here's a look at how the hero- and his arch-nemesis-came about. Hint: it involes ice cream..

As comic book origin stories go, Captain America’s is up there with the greatest. No, not the weedy Steve Rogers, pure of heart but puny of body, volunteering himself for the Super Solider Serum: we’re talking about his real-world creators, Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, dreaming up a hero just to punch Hitler in the face. The following excerpt from Joe Simon’s awesome autobiography, My Life In Comics, talks about the birth of the star-spangled avenger, as well as why über-villain, The Red Skull, almost looked like a sundae…

“The comics that were doing really well at the time were ones with clever villains in them, so I started by looking around for the perfect villain. I tossed out a lot of ideas, but then I realized that we had the perfect guy right in front of us. I thought to myself, Let’s get a real live villain. Adolf Hitler would be the perfect foil for our next new character, what with his hair and that stupid-looking moustache and his goose-stepping. He was like a cartoon anyway.

The Office oaf and Hangover hooligan amorous monkeys, burst capillaries, and ladyboy accountants.

Todd Phillips told us he was treating the sequel to The Hangover “like the fucking Godfather II.” How much insanity can we expect?
This movie takes everything you loved about the first one and pushes it over a cliff. The result is a burning wreckage of hilarity.

The Wolfpack is heading to Thailand for your character Stu’s wedding?
Yeah, he’s marrying a girl whose family is Thai. It didn’t pan out with the stripper, and as much as I loved working, and making out, with Heather Graham, I think it was a cool decision on the
part of Todd and the writers.

A cube rolling puzzler that’ll make you feel like a blockhead.

Qvoid (iPhone, iPad)

What's it about?

Part Rubik’s Cube, part labyrinth, Qvoid is a color matching puzzle game that will torment you for hours (in a good way). Eaevel begins with a stark white, color-soaking cube that you’ll navigate through the level. Use one side of the cube to soak up a colored spot on the board and then make your way across the level to match the newly colored side with its counterpart. The catch is that once a side of the cube is colored, it can’t touch the board again until you help it find its match. The game adds gizmos like rotators and teleporters to increase the difficulty as you knock off the 96 levels one by one. It’s the best way to get your cube juggle on without having to tell your parents you moonlight as a street performer.
